Central Teachers Eligibility test(CTET) is a national level TET where all over candidates across the country can appear for the exam and once they clear the exam, they receive a certificate from TET. Mostly the syllabus and exam pattern of State TET and CTET is the same. but CTET is conducted twice a year, whereas, other State TETs are conducted once a year

What is REET?

Rajasthan Eligibility Examination(REET) for Teachers is a state-level eligibility test for teaching aspirants who wish to become government school teacher in the state of Rajasthan. REET exam follows the same pattern and exam syllabus as the CTET and Other states TETs. REET is conducted once a year.

Differences between REET and TET?

Selection Process

The major difference between the two exams lies in the fact that TET is just an aptitude test, however REET is an entrance test. After qualifying TET candidates have to wait for available vacancies in government schools. Then they have to pass an entrance test followed by an interview and document verification to be admitted. However, in REET, candidates will not have to appear for any other entrance test. Whenever Rajasthan government will release vacancies, candidates will be able to apply for it and directly appear for interview after document verification to get recruited in government schools of Rajasthan.
First, we have to qualify the exam by filling the form of the ritual, after that we have to pass the interview, then we are called for document verification, after the document verification is done, the final selection is considered

What is Similar Between REET and TET?

TET and REET are similar in nature in many ways. They both follow the same exam pattern and syllabus. The eligibility criteria for both is exactly the same. The candidates appearing for TET and REET exams have to clear the same cut-off mark criteria to crack the exams. By giving these exams candidates become eligible to become government school teachers. What is the Eligibility criteria?

The eligibility criteria of REET and TET is exactly the same. In both the exams, candidates have to pass the intermediate exam with a minimum of 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree. Moreover, the candidate who meets all the eligibility requirements can appear in CTET & UPTET and other TET for Paper I (Primary Stage) and Paper-II (Upper Primary Stage).

Primary Stage(Paper I)

Class 12th with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education or D.EL.ED  or Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

Upper Primary Stage (Paper II)

Class 12th with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) or B.A/B.Sc. B.Ed or B.A B.Ed/B.Sc B.Ed.
